Your evening tour starts with either a pickup from your hotel in Kirkenes, or meeting up at the Snowhotel reception. The experience begins in the reindeer pen, where you can feed the reindeer by hand with their favorite food – lichen. As you meet these majestic animals, your guide will share fascinating facts about reindeer herding and Sami life. The tour continues to a traditional lavvu. On the way, you will have the chance to try lasso casting, a classic Sami skill used for herding reindeer. Inside the lavvu, you will sit around the campfire while the guide shares stories from Sami folklore and personal experiences. The experience ends with a performance of joik, the unique and soulful Sami style of singing. After this, you will join the Snowhotel guided tour to explore the magical ice suites and ice bar, followed by a 3-course traditional dinner served in Låven Restaurant. After dinner, you can enjoy a final drink in the ice bar if you like, before departing back to Kirkenes.
